Frances Maria Perrone, a third generation Tampa native, earned bachelor’s degrees from both Florida State University and the University of South Florida. After graduating from Florida State University College of Law, she returned to Tampa to begin her legal career. From 2000-2005, Frances worked as a prosecutor in Hillsborough County. She handled thousands of misdemeanor and felony cases including DUI, Domestic Violence, Theft, Trafficking, Robbery and Manslaughter charges. Frances served as Lead Trial Attorney of a felony division and the Director of County Court where she was responsible for supervising and training all traffic and misdemeanor attorneys as well as overseeing the prosecution of all traffic and misdemeanor cases in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
Frances has served the Bay area as a Criminal Defense attorney since 2005. She has represented clients on various charges ranging from Homicide, Trafficking and Robbery charges as well as traffic citations, DUI, Theft, and drug charges. Frances has served as lead trial attorney in over 85 jury trials and hundreds of bench trials.
Frances Perrone has achieved Board Certification in Criminal Trial Law. Frances is a member of the Florida Bar, the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Herbert Goldberg Inn of Court.
