Practice Areas

* Business and Commercial Law - I provide a wide variety of services to our business clients from assisting in selecting the type of organizational entity under which to operate, preparation of agreements, sale and purchase of businesses, obtaining financing and funding for business operations, and employee relations, to dissolution.

* Construction Law - My firm represents owners, contractors, construction managers, developers, design professionals, and suppliers in all aspects of the construction process, including bidding and document preparation, contract negotiation and formation, contract performance, financing and warranty issues, mechanics and materialmen liens, and claims and dispute resolution.

* Intellectual Property Law - I have wide ranging experience in copyrights, patents, trade dress, trade secrets, and trademark matters, representing both individual and business intellectual property creators and developers. Because much of today's intellectual property is highly technical and involves technology licensing, I am trained in scientific and technical fields as well as the law and are experienced in international intellectual property law to keep pace with the expanding global economy.

* Litigation and Appeals - My firm represents and advises clients who are or might become involved in a lawsuit or appeal as a result of a dispute, including prevention and settlement, in such areas as personal injury and employment claims, contract disputes, and family law and commercial matters.

* Securities Law - I represent clients, both individual and broker dealers, in connections with litigation involving claims of security fraud.

I have focused on commercial litigation and appellate work in the 34 years since completing a judicial clerkship in Miami . My practice includes litigation involving contract disputes, employment agreements, commercial construction, securities, antitrust and intellectual property law, both in state and federal court, in Central Florida. I conduct both jury and non-jury trials, including jury trials of patent and trademark matters. I am Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a civil trial lawyer (1983) and a business litigation lawyer (1997). My appellate practice includes appeals resulting from cases I handled in the lower courts, as well as matters referred by trial counsel for both state and federal courts. From 1983 through 1985, I served as an Adjunct Professor in intellectual properties at Stetson University Law School , and have continued to lecture on business litigation topics for The Florida Bar, including restrictive covenants and securities matters.

My goal is to work toward a cost effective early resolution of a matter, while at the same time satisfying the needs of my client.
